Republicans that can't afford health ins.,do you think Obama's plan is better than...

I do not have it but my wife does and that is our choice because I can not get pregnent and no I DO NOT WANT Obama's plan.

IMy choice to buy a plasma, well 2 and I am still paying for one of them.
My Choice to buy a new car, well two
My choice to go on vacation, well 4 times
My choice to buy a house
My choices dictated that I choose whether or not to get insurance and I do not want you to choose that I HAVE TO.

To the person at the top. I live in the South and believe it or not we are all not redneck trailer trash who marries our family members any more than all people from New York City are in the mafia and all people from California are queers so stop it already and I bet I am more cultured and have seen more of the world than you.

Think about the cost, waste, and the burden to insure only 10 million of the currently 47 million uninsured the CBO estimates are at 4 trillion dollars for a decade of coverage...insanity! If you are a taxpayer this would increase your taxes by al least 20 to 50 dollars a week outrageous especially on top of the carbon tax and individual state taxes going up where does it all go????

"Republicans that can't afford health ins.,do you think Obama's plan is better than no plan?" No

"Would you be willing to wait on a better solution and just use the charity hospitals, etc.?" I don't have health insurance now, and I don't use charity hospitals. I pay as I go. I rarely need medical care; the same goes for my children. You, and your family may not be as fortunate, health wise, as I am.

No health care plan is suitable for everyone. One size does not fit all. If you need frequent health care, then you may indeed need health insurance. But your health care needs will probably differ from people in your community. Should you pay the same as they do?

If you only see a doctor once or twice a year, then why should you pay the same as the person who sees a doctor once a month?

in the 46 million number that keeps getting quoted, at least 10 million are illegals. even families that make $75,000 per year are included in that number. that number also includes people on medicaid and a very large number of kids who are already eligible for schip and other gov programs but just aren't enrolled.

i think that very few people can't 'afford' insurance. what's really going on with most of the uninsured is that they choose not to do without luxuries (yes, cable, ipods, video game are luxuries) and then complain they can't afford health care insurance or to pay out of pocket for health care.

i'm not saying health care is cheap, or insurance is cheap, but if you lived in a bit less expensive home/apt, quite buying ipods, big screen tvs, cable/satellite service, internet (unless you are self employed & work from home), hundreds of dollars of video game equipment and games, cd collections, dinners out etc etc... it could be purchased.

the problem that liberals always seem to miss is who pays the bill and for that reason no plan is better. despite all the mindless villification from the pelosi/reid regime, bush had the right idea. the pre tax pre need contributary program for medical issues where you can pay with pre tax dollars for anticipated health issues per year. without tax credit programs like this you will see what happened to colleges with tuition increases paired with federal aid happen to the health care industry.

throwing money at anything from the us government never solved a problem and health care is no exception. if any plan is going to work, it needs to be taken past the liberal grandstanding stage and be well thought out. this will never happen with obama as he has neither the talent, experience or skill to handle this type of complex policy making.

this, in my opinion, is precisely where the term empty suit comes from and with good reason.

bottom line, marxism in ANY FORM simply doesnt work.

If they take " free" anything from government . except protection from our enemies, then they are not republicans. We do not" wait" for anything. We go to work and create wealth. That is the conservative way.You can " wait" for government if you want to, but you have the same opportunities as the rest of us.Pay you own bills. If you cannot or do not want to, then walk the neighborhood and knock on doors and ask producers for a handout.

Huge numbers of low income Republicans are without insurance in the South. But the party uses wedge issues like abortion or "socialism" to keep them distracted.

As with anything the Government does there's bound to be serious problems. The biggest one is efficiency. In the rush to get this BILL passed, no one is going to have time to look over all the problems generated with Obama's health "care" plan. And not really a "plan." You can't take care of everyone, and there will be theft and corruption. Millions of dollars will be wasted or unaccounted for. Can't wait for the daily stories of how an illegal alien gamed the system and got tens of thousands of dollars of free medical procedures, all paid for by the gringo or infidel.

Plus the thought of the Government dictating what treatmeants people can have and stacks of ridiculous paperwork to fill out is not going to work.

As to all the other stuff we're supposed to subsidize, carbon taxes, extra taxes on gas and snacks, how much money does Obama think we all make. There's going to come a time where we'll need a second job just to pay taxes on everything. But with the coming elimination of the middle class and industry through the carbon tax, I'm sure unemployment will reach 50 percent or higher. There won't be enough people to take money from to pay for "health care."
