republicans need a pinch hitter. they should bench Boener and ask Joe Scarborough

Sweep them all out and start over. The problem is who do you put in? There is such a vacuum of leadership in this country and has been for quite some time.
 
Easy, start down the line of people with a strong background in philosophy, ethics, and history. Ask who wants to be a politician. Anyone that answers yes is sent away.
 
Personally, I'd love to see just one election where NO Democrats or Republicans won, and the people that did win, NEVER held political office before.

Both Dems and Reps have fucked this country up, maybe it's time for them to have a "time out" ... sit in the "penalty box" for one election. Have COMPLETE n00bs in there who aren't beholden to any political group.

If only for ONE election, to break the lock hold that both parties have.
 
Only problem is the methodology employed re getting people elected, the costs associated with advertising/etc.

Just make everyone have to have a website with their views/platform, and make political advertising on radio/tv/paper illegal, as with campaign donations, solicitations, etc.

Remove the ones that'd stand to profit by having any particular person elected from the situation as well.

Lofty dream, will never happen.
