republicans need a pinch hitter. they should bench Boener and ask Joe Scarborough

To come out of retirement. That dude seems like the only level headed republican left in the country.

Why? Boehner actually got a bill passed in the House with bipartisan support. He is working on passing a SECOND one today.

Harry Reid has yet to pass a bill in the Senate AND is blocking a vote on the Boehner bill which did pass already.

Obama is worthless, he said he will veto any bill that comes to him that doesn't extend the possibility of a shut down PAST THE ELECTION.

Maybe Joe Scarborough should take Harry Reid or Barack Obama's place. THEY are the ones who aren't doing anything.

Boehner is not the problem (although there is something I don't really like about him, can't quite put my finger on it). It is the tea party fucks that are causing the issues for them right now.

Whoa whoa whoa, you mean people that were voted into office under the guise of reducing government spending are causing trouble by doing what they said they would do?

Well, considering the Democrats and Republicans over the past 70+ years have a tack record of $14+ trillion of debt and the Tea Party has no history of that, I'd say give them a chance. They certainly can't fuck things up any worse.

Are you such a skeptical assfuck that you believe I can't give a complement without having an underlying agenda? Fuck you are pathetic

I agree, our leadership thru this thing sucks. But you are nuts if u don't think the dems have already compromised a considerable amount.

And while I too am guilty of it...can we please tone down the hostility toward one another? Just because we have different political opinions does not mean we need to treat each other like shit

i wish we had senator barack obama on our side
The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.
