...your current health plan? Dont you like the idea of saving money if people have a PUBLIC option for health care? It seems logical to have a govt based option if it brings costs down for everyone. If your plan is fine you can keep it, so why not encourage a competitive option?
If the govt passes a health plan, you will see private insurers either losing millions of customers or lowering their costs to compete with the new public health plan. Competition is good for everyone, right?
I endorse 100% the govt desire to provide a cost-effective option BUT I am concerned about DETAILS in the govt plan.
Here's what I want to hear/see detail answers about before they pass it:
-closing loopholes of pricing & costs--- like how will they monitor how many subscriptions are given and the fraudulent charges by surgeons and drug companies,
-the "enforcer" of the rules, penalties, incentives and how he/she will be chosen for the job (a new czar or surgeon general???)
-the board of "experts" who will decide the amount of health to be covered by the government plan (when and how much subscriptions and surgery is necessary?)
-how to stop the abuse by patients who are illegals or getting medical attention for non-emergency issues,
-who controls the database of health histories, visits, subscriptions, and xrays,
-how will they regulate "supply and demand" with more patients and less doctors/nurses, will they have govt grants for surgeon & nursing schools??
