First of all, let me say: I agree with you. MSNBC, CNN, etc. all have a decidely Liberal bias, which is simply wrong.
(Yes, it IS possible for a Liberal to agree with you. I also oppose gun control and affirmative action, if you must know)
However, let's not kid ourselves: Fox News has a Conservative bias, too. Not that that's a bad thing: the Liberal media needs a counterpart. You can watch MSNBC and Fox News, split the difference, and have a fair idea of what is REALLY going on.
However, have you ever tried listening to NPR? For every story they talk about, they bring on a supporter and an opponent to give opposing viewpoints. And yes, both sides are usually reasonably intelligent, well-spoken individuals: they don't put someone smart on to promote "their" side, and someone dumb for the opposition. They report the news, and let YOU decide how to feel.
I'm just saying you ought to give it a try, on your way to work or your way home. It's refreshing to actually hear the news, and interpret it for yourself.
Oh, and all those stories the other news agencies "hide"? They usually report those, too.
Laurence: Have you ever listened to Left, Right and Center? It pits Ariana Huffington against the editor of the Washington Post. Very entertaining.
