...federal judges ? The Senate Judiciary Committee has a proposal before it that will add and Additional 53 Federal District Court Judges and 12 Appellate Court Judges. All would be appointed by the Obama administration and approved by the Democratically held Senate. Is this another attempt by Obama and crew to consolidate even more power as in the case with the Czars?
No i am not making this up !
And number one your right ! Although FDR never really succeeded at stacking the court as he would of liked it the "intent" was still there and a clear violation of the Constitution.
They are not going to be appointed to fill vacancies . Read the question they are 53 + 12 ADDITIONAL Appointments ! As in plus +++++ added to . As in 53 +12 =65 additional Federal Judges

It is the job of the president and congress to fill vacancies.

Why didn't you consider it a problem under Bush? Guess a republican power grab is ok.

My impetus in voting has always had the primary consideration for who will appoint our judges because it is judges who determine our country's future through their interpretation of laws. The result is that I always vote for conservative candidates because they tend more in the direction of an absolute Constitution having absolute power when applied literally. Obama has already put on full display that his view of the Constitution is that it is flawed, yet he swore an oath to "protect and defend it." I suspect, though, that he really meant "protest and bend it." Your assessment of his intention is dead on correct. It's about power through interpretation of laws.

Given the obvious political agenda adopted by the Republicans in the appointment of judges and federal prosecutors your concern is both hypocritical and unjustified. Cry us a river, partisan whiner!

You lost. Get over it and grow up. If the Republicans had offered something more than McCain/Palin and four more years of the same bad management Obama could not have won. This situation is your fault.
