How and how hard would it be for two people to replace a clutch on a 97 Pontiac Trans Am. I am pretty knowledgeable around cars and smart and figuring things out. But if someone could give me a rough how to step by step I might be able to figure it out. I don't know how long a transmission shop would take to replace the clutch, because I need to race the car on thursday

it,s not that hard. the hardest part is dropping the transmission. just make sure you don,t get it in backwards. it tells you on the clutch which side goes towards the flywheel. don,t forget to change the pilot bearing in the crankshaft.

Autozone.com has repair manuals online.

If it is your first time expect to spend a couple days on the job.
