I'm in too much pain at tthe moment to relive what happened to my 4 DAY OLD phone but can anyone point me to where I can buy a replacement LCD screen for my N73? Is it even worth replacing or just buying a new phone?

Its the actual LCD screen. I had in my pocket and I BANGED my leg on a very pointy wooden table, luckily for my leg.... my phone absorbed the shock. The screen went all black with raibows of colors(streaks) where it got hit.

To my surprise though, the outside covering is fine and scratch free.

Should i just throw my phone into the river or is this a manageable/affordable repair?

Alright I'm excited! Phone seems to be working but i think its in OFFLINE mode and i couldn't get it out since I cant see whats on screen. The only portion of the screen that works is the top right, by the battery indicator.

You guys have to help me, I already emailed cnn so hopefully they'll get back to me with good news. If you guys know of any other places or even if i could possibly get the screen from nokia please let me know.

Help me ease my pain guys.....

P.S. The reason I bought this phone was because 2 weeks prior I ended up banging my previous phone(nokia 6680) on a door and the keypad went haywire so I've had some bad luck.
Actually this entire month has been unlucky for me.
1.ABout a month ago, I put a nice scratch(foot long, inch wide) on the wheel well on my car.
2. About a week later, my refrigerator almost burned down my house. I managed to unplug it before any damage was done but the fridge died. To make things worse I had just recently gone to Costco and had just stocked up on food. It all spoiled.
3. I broke my nokia 6680.
4. A few days after that, my car got broken into. My radio and an ipod, which wasnt mine, were stolen.
5. I ended up breaking my N73....
6. Then yesterday, my brother/roommate and I got into a argument cause his cheap butt wants to buy a compact refrigerator and I dont. He doesnt see the point of why we should get a nice refrigirator. I wanna spend about a 1g on it plus we have a brother who works at best buy for discounts.

So like I said, please help. I've had a rough month.

Hi,
I am also travellin in the same boat as u were elcapitan / joe for havin a bad month n then to top all of that my 3 day old N73 LCD cracked, fell from my pocket on the floor n smashed... i would appreicaite if u could give me feed back on the LCD screen quality that u bought and from which website u got it :

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/11333.htm

or

http://www.cnn.cn/shop/

cause i think there is like a 40$ price difference.

do u know if they sell the original Nokia LCD or after market LCD?

and also was it easy to install the LCD like putting the ribbon right in its place or was it tricky?

Thanks

Sorry to hear about the bad times. I understand how sucky it is. Anyway, I bought my LCD from cnn but I am not sure if it's original or after market. Whichever one it was, I'm really happy with it! It was very easy to install, just plug in the ribbon and you're all set. The trickiest part for me was taking the phone apart.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
