some of you may recognize this question and i apologize for asking twice but i'm looking for more definite answers.

i have a 130 gallon freshwater tank that is between treatments of levamisole HCL for an internal parasite called "camallanus worms" (roundworm)

My fish responded well to the medication, however there seems to be something else lurking in the tank. at the moment it's only attached itself to the fins of my rummy nosed tetras (except for one who has a nice looping pile on his head) and after first inspection i thought it was ich. after looking closer it is most definitely a squiggly white worm only a few mm's long. i would say half of my rummies are afflicted with this worm.

it was suggested to me in my last thread, that perhaps these are planaria which are a harmless worm that usually lives in the substrate and glass of a tank. it would make sense that these would not be affected by the meds i gave as they are (i believe) a flat worm?

but has anyone ever witnessed planaria attaching itself to the actual fish? i've tried googling for anything that looks like what my fish have.. anyone have any experience with what i've described?

and i have ruled out ich as it did not respond to my elevated salt levels and water temps when i first spotted it.

im not sure what type of parasite this may be. however, if you take pictures of it and bring them to your local fish store im sure they will be able to help you
