Look at the units and if it is true tell them you do not see the paint to be that bad HOWEVER if they want to paint the apts at their expense to confirm the paint colors with you and go ahead.
Hi, I am a landlord in Canada. I heard many landlords agree to the request to paint and even pay for material but not for labor when it is the initiative of the tenant. As a landlord how should I respond to their request? they are all good tenants but paying an unexpected expense to paint 3 units is going to be difficult. I think the condition of the current paint is OK - not very clean but not too bad i guess (but I am not a professional painter so not sure).
THANKS.
We paint the apartments when people move out. If during their time in the apartment they want it painted, it is at their cost and must be done properly - any spills, splashes, or painted shut windows are deducted from their security deposit when the leave.
