my 1996 clio rt battery light was continuously on and then when i was driving to work and parked up to get petrol it went completely dead and the aa guy said i need a new alternator, so i got a brand new one and fitted it, but the battery light is still always on, i drove from chertsey to swanwick (62 miles!) hoping that the alternator might just take a while to charge or something. but the battery light is still on when i drove this morning, it was also on the entire journey.
