Removed for Track day - Now what?

Are you simply looking to cover the holes or does something need to be secured? If it's just the holes, leave them - it's the track. If it's security, get some rubber or foam layered under tie wraps to keep it in place. But if you can manufacture something and you like doing that sort of thing, go for it in either case if it floats your boat man.

IMO of course...

NewDuc,

On the 1098, the mirror stalks also secure the wind screen. When you remove the mirrors, the wind screen/fairing becomes loose. Just leaving/covering the holes is not an option.

I figured that...then I would manufacture something or worst case do the tie wrap thing.

One parting thought...do they only secure the windscreen or also the fairing? Might sound wacky but you could always remove the windscreen if that's the only concern...hey don't knock it, the SuperMoto guys don't have fairings!

I used zip ties to hold it down, however looking long term, mirrors are useless and was thinking of reworking the turn lights into the parking lights, thus retaining some turn signals but getting away from those mirrors. I'll take a look at the motowheels stuff, thanks.
