Removal of mirrors what about the hole?

I've been looking at all the pics and trying to figure out what people have been doing for the hole I'm guessing will be there when you remove the mirrors.
I've been trying to decide if I should go for the bar-end mirrors or just get some better aftermarket ones for the same location as the OEM's. But with the Bar end ones doesn't removing the original mirror/signals leave a hole? I haven't found a pic yet that gives me the right angle to see if there is just a hole or if everyone that removes the mirror/signal just gets an aftermarket upper too.
 
I myself use Greggs Custom mirror cover/indicators and was using bar end mirrors but have since gone to a rear facing camera/gps unit.

I put bar ends on mine and a set of red Greggs custom mirror block off's, with built in LED's. Your gonna pay about $100.00 for the mirror block off's and anywhere from $60.00- $150.00 for the bar ends. Greggs makes an awesome quality product but they are not cheap. I put my stock mirrors on Ebay and got over $200.00 for them though. So that definately made it worth my while!!!
