i dont know how to hook up the remote wiring to the factory head unit in my truck. ive got an 07 chevy silverado. someone please help me and use as much detail describing as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2007 Silverado's factory radio doesn't have a remote wire. You will need to connect the amps remote wire to an accessory source at the fuse box or ignition harness. The bad thing about this vehicle is that is the only way to do it and the amp will shut off with the key but the radio stays on until you open a door so you can't turn the key off and still listen to the radio with the subs/amp on. Many things in that truck run through the body computer so don't try connecting to any wires that your not certain of their function as the previous poster suggested.

okay the rem. is a blue wire on the deck, which decks can be hard without a wiring diagram

what i did on my pathfinder is, find a cigarette lighter and splice the wire into that on the + wire. it will do exactly the same thing and work just as well.

on a cigarette lighter you will be able to try every wire to see if it works without a fear of blowing somthing up...trust me i did it lol...i went through 3 out of 4 wires before finding the one that worked. its all trial and error and on a cigaretter lighter your safe
