REMEMBERING HISTORY FACTS/DATES!?

I tend to have a lot of trouble remember facts and dates in history class. I always read my book and do homework and everything, listening to lectures, etc....but it never sticks! Does anyone have any tips they can share to help me remember my facts so i can ace these tests! :P Thanks!

I think that a good way to remember them is to put notes with the dates everywhere, for example on your desk, on the fridge, in the pockets of you jacket, around the monitor of your pc, etc. You will see the dates everywhere you go into the house so finally you will remember them :)
 
the only way i can do it, is literally writing it, covering it, and saying it aloud, until i can remember them all.
i do it gradually, so i'll try to rememeber one, then attempt the second, then try them both together and so it goes on.
it works for me.
also, sometimes visually imagining your notes helps (you could try writing different dates and facts in different colours of ink so you can say, link blue ink to one area and so on)
another way some people use is by linking the dates to like certain things. this doesn't really work for me, because it feels like i'm not only having to remember the facts, but also what i've linked them to.
but really you just need to figure out what works for you.
