remember those rentel VHS tapes

Loved my old video shop. So many movies and you didn't know if a lot of the films were good or bad as you couldn't look it up online for reviews. Saw many trashy kung fu flicks staring Bruce Li, Chick Norris and Jackie Chung.

They sold movie posters for 10p too and the adult section was just by the counter so you could always glance across at the covers of the films whilst in the queue hoping that no girls from school were also in the shop and saw you !
 
I remember going to Revolver a small video rental company. I can remember going in and asking for Star Trek 2, and when I got home I found out that it was in fact two episodes from the original series of Star Trek, but involving Khan. I watched them took it back and just happened to mention that it wasnt Wrath of Khan and they very nicely let me have it for free I think it was 24hr rental. I cant imagine anyone doing that these days.

Ive still got loaRAB of original vhs tapes stored. Some of them include those fantastic Ninja movies which were all the rage in the early 80s along with the Mad Max clones.
 
I remember getting my first VCR in Dec 1983 which I rented from Visionhire (remember them) along with a 22 inch tv! I couldnt wait to join a video library and signed up at a local one called Mr Video which charged
