Remember Fox Kids?

Actually, Saban DID have a 50% stake in both Fox Kids and Fox Family. His Saban Entertainment company merged with Fox Kids in 1996. Fox's parent News Corporation and Saban sold it to Disney because of bickering ownership and bad ratings from Fox Family and Fox Kids (which Kids' WB! took the #1 spot thanks to Pokemon).

Such a shame. Fox Kids had so much history. I mean it pretty much changed the face of animation with shows like BTAS. Do you really think Gargoyles or shows like that would have been made if it wasn't for FK?

Does anybody remember some of the more obscure shows on there like, 'Eekstravaganza', 'Life with Louie', 'Mystic Knight of TirNaNog', and all that jazz? :p

I don't know if I'd call Eek!stravaganza 'obscure'; a lot of people I know and have spoken to were huge fans of Eek! and remember the show fondly.

I remember Life with Louie on, but I never watched it. I've never liked sitcom shows. Give me explosions and craziness and I'm happy.

Peter Pan & the Pirates was one of the very first shows to exist on Fox Kids, and it will probably only exist officially in our memories now, because there's likely no chance in heck Disney will ever allow any other interpretation of the Peter Pan story other than the one they created decades before to be formally released by them. At least those who were smart enough to record it using VCRs way back then have memories of that show.

And wow, it's been almost six whole years since Fox Kids went off the air for the last time in 2002 and people still remember it.

Yeah, bro, the channel is gone with a part of my childhood. Particularly missing "Cat Eak". Lots of my friends were nearly crying when the "hero" was trying to save the world. It was my favorite cartoon on Fox Kids...
