Remember Fox Kids?

I remember seeing Fox Kids throughout my childhood years, but I never became a regular viewer until '99 when Digimon first came on the air. Unfortunately, the block only lasted several years later. A shame. Fox Kids was, in my opinion, the best Saturday morning cartoon block of all time.

First, the Fox Box is no more. It was re-branded as 4Kids TV in January 2005.

Second, Jetix and 4Kids don't need to go away just because you don't like what they have to offer. The fact is that both blocks put the butts in the seats and are raking in money and ratings, so they're not going anywhere. Therefore, yelling that they should go away or get canned just because one guy doesn't like them is as futile as setting a place at the dinner table for Amelia Earhardt.

If you don't like what 4Kids TV and Jetix have to offer, simply switch them off. Just because something is on doesn't mean that you have to watch it.

Why does it matter where you see Jetix as long as you see it? If 4Kids TV isn't to your liking, simply don't watch it. Problem solved. Again, a programming block doesn't need to go away just because you don't like it.

Regardless of how you feel about 4Kids TV, it's currently too successful to just disappear.

Yeah, as much as I wish Jetix would leave TD, go back to being Fox Kids and then replace 4KidsTV, I doubt that'll happen anytime soon, as Jetix is a very successful Disney brand and 4KidsTV is also still too damn successful to just disappear off the face of this very Earth.

From 91-93, from my personal ages 7-9, Fox Kids was where it was at. The best cartoons on TV. People have already listed them. Unfortunately, come 94 there was a massive shake up where many areas around the country the Fox and ABC affiliates traded stations, and my city had that happened. and somehow Fox Kids got lost in the shuffle, not being apart of the move. That was sad.

I wonder what would happen if Saban didn't sold Fox Kids to Disney?
Then Fox Kids would probably still be alive and kicking.

Haim Saban didn't sell Fox Kids. he couldn't, because he never owned it. It was FOX who sold Fox Kids and Fox Family to Disney because they were hemorrhaging money. Saban had nothing with Fox Kids' demise.

Partly, but it was also because by that time the Fox stations felt that they were on par with the "Big Three" networks (CBS, ABC and NBC) and wanted to take back the airtime occupied by Fox Kids to make room for their own programming. Some of the local Fox affiliates wanted to start airing Saturday morning newscasts and the like. Plus, let's face it: Fox Kids' schedule wasn't very strong during its' last years; Kids' WB, as well as cable networks such as Cartoon Network and Nick, were eating them alive in the ratings.
