Remember Fox Kids?

I just want to know who else misses Fox Kids. I miss it so much. It's how I got in cartoons. Does anyone have any Fox Kids memories?

Eh, some shows on it were good (Peter Pan & the Pirates, X-Men, Animaniacs, Sam & Max: Freelance Police), some were not so good (Piggsburg Pigs!, Super Dave, The Mr. Potato Head Show, Secret Files of the Spy Dogs). The last few years of Fox Kids weren't all that great as I recall.

While there were some Fox Kids that I loved, at the same time, I'm not so blinded by nostalgic bliss that I can't recognize some of those shows for they crud they were. So while I enjoyed some of the Fox Kids shows immensely, I don't really miss the block as a whole. Blocks come and blocks go, and every one of them has their share of diamonds and duds.

*Of course it's worth mentioning that I didn't grow up on Fox Kids like many of us here. I had already graduated high school when Fox Kids was launched in 1990.

I remember devouring Power Rangers when it was on, and most of the other shows like Bobby's World. I also remember getting freaked out by Goosebumps. That one was creepy, but not as creepy as AYAOTD.

This topic reminded me of Schnookums and Meat, even though that was Disney. I love how the soup outlasted the show. :anime:

I know not all of its shows were great. Here are some shows to refresh your memories.

Batman TAS
Spider-Man TAS (I liked it)
Digimon
Godzilla The Series
Power Rangers

No offense meant to you, but I'm pretty sure that no one here has forgotten any of those shows (except maybe Godzilla the Series). People need to be reminded of Batman: TAS and Power Rangers they way that they need to be reminded of Scooby Doo, Pokemon, Transformers, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Jem and Strawberry Shortcake.

Anyways, you forgot to mention X-Men, Eek! the Cat, Animaniacs and Sam & Max: Freelance Police. The latter 2 I own the DVDs of so I can revisit them whenever I want. The former 2 desperately need a DVD release, especially Eek!, which hasn't seen the light of day since the reruns were shown on the now defunct Fox Family Channel.

It would be great if FOX could create a Fox Kids Channel and air all of those shows, but thanks to legalities and ownership rights, that'll probably never happen.

Digimon was my best memory of Fox Kids. Makes me sad that its gone. I remember waking up really early in the morning on Saturday, watching Infomercials or some other programs that cycled through the Pre-Fox Kids slot, then Power Rangers, some other shows, then Digimon.

Good times, good times.

I have some good memories of Fox Kids, but I'm not really sure if I miss it. Power Rangers and Digimon were the only shows on it that I used to watch after it got replaced by Fox Box, and I can still see those shows on other channels.

Tiny Toon Adventures was the first FK show that I really watched. I was in the sixth grade, and I remember when I used to look forward to watching it after coming home from school. Though after a while, I slacked off with TTA.

I also remember when I was getting into Power Rangers, but hated that I couldn't see it on weekdays when it was in its first season, since at the time it would start right when school was ENDING for the day. I could only see it on Saturdays and days when I didn't have school. I totally rejoiced when the second season started since they changed the weekday time slot, and I didn't have to worry about missing it when I came home from school.

Masked Rider started a couple of years later. I know it wasn't the greatest show, but it was okay for what it was.

I started to get into Digimon two years after it started. I taped every episode of the first two seasons when they were being rerun right before the third season started. Then I even went on to tape those.

Anyway, I'd have to say that my best memories were with Power Rangers. I went from watching it after school on Fox Kids to watching it after coming home from work on Monday nights.

Yes I remember Fox kids and Now Fox kids has now become Cw4 kids

and speaking of cw4 kids, why don't the people that run cw make a 24 hours Cw toon network, like toon nick or jetix?

I miss it too. I remember watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Goosebumps, Digimon, Bobby's World, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, The Tick, Big Bad Beetleborgs, Toonsylvania, Ned's Newt, among others.

I didn't like it that much after 2000.

Fox Kids started out great, but towards the end when they were changing their schedules at the drop of a hat and eventually going almost all anime, I knew the end was coming. It got to the point where you didn't know where if any show beyond Digimon and Power Rangers would survive from week to week.

But yeah, Beetlejuice, Batman TAS, Animaniacs, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and Eek The Cat were my favorites. Kind of makes me wonder what would have come from them had Kids WB not entered the picture and lured some of their bigger shows away.

I honestly don't remember that much of Fox Kids. I remember watching Power Rangers on it when I was little and then I started watching Digimon sometime around Adventure 01. I also recall watching Batman The Animated Series on there, but it also could have been on another channel. Most of their other shows, mainly Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs, I saw on different channels. I was mostly into Nick or CN before I got into Kids' WB and I was with that block up until they got rid of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!
