Remakes?

Is anyone else getting fed up with all the remakes. I admit some have been better than the originals but most of them have been rubbish. Not only am I bored with movie remakes but also fed up with the TV copies such as Bewitched. Which was awful.
 
Somethings in my mind are perfect how they are ie Mary Poppins :mad:, and it annoys me to think people want to remake them. Other films that were orignally not as good, I don't mind seeing remakes of as it gives a chance to take a story and make it better then the original.

Although some people could argue that remaking certain movies also gives the chance to make a better film no matter how good they are.
 
Got fed up a long time ago - don't even bother anymore.

Off the top of my head I can only think of 5 that are fit to lace the shoes of their predecessors:

The Fly, Scarface, The Magnificent Seven, The Thing, and Solaris --with the latter two being adaptations anyway. Oh, and both remakes of Invasion of the Body Snatchers were both pretty decent. I'm sure there's more --isn't there? I guess it would be better to list the duRAB I can think off...

The Manchurian Candidate, Get Carter and King Kong I have no intention of seeing.
