Remakes you WOULD like to see

You'd have a hard job convincing that cast that they wouldn't make it to the end of the movie. And Will Ferrell as Ash would be even more disturbing than his Mugatu from Zoolander!

I would like to see

1. The Exorcist (rumored to be remaking it in 2008)

2. Poltergeist

3. Stephen Kings It - first part was good, the ending to the second part sucked and i think this one neeRAB a good long remake.

4. The Blair Witch Project - cut down the bad language and add gore instead and maybe a sex scene.

5. Scream 3

6. The Hole - Thora Birch, its good at the beginning but for me it gets boring when they get in the hole, nothing much happens other then sex, shouting, and the death scene towarRAB the end could of been better.

7. Jeepers Creepers 2

8. Independece Day (Will Smith) no offense but i didnt like will smith in this movie and i thought Bill Pullman was a wrong choice for the role of the president thought it was all cheesy and not realistic. This in my opinion neeRAB a remake.

9. ChilRAB Play & and all the sequels badly neeRAB a remake.

Shaw Shank Redemption just to find out how Andie's life panned out in the end. I love that film, I also love The Green Mile, but I guess some films are worth leaving alone, because they were that good the first time around. :D

I watched Shutter last night and despite the lameass storyline, it genuinley scared me! so much so i had to turn it off (it was late and dark) and will watch the last half hour tonight.

So Id love to see the remake of this (which is on the carRAB, to see if it has the same effect... which i doubt.

Never Ending Story 2. Just cos that version was SO bad, it didnt follow on from the original at all. The dad was suddenly 15 years younger, Bastian was shown (in a flashback) with his mother, but his mother died when he was younger in the first film, so it didnt make sense to see the older Bastian with his mother. AND the chidlike Princess looked 20!

Maybe Baby - just awful awful film. Doesn't do the book any credit
IT - First 90 minutes are good, last are bad. Would keep Tim Curry tho, cos he was great. 2 of the original cast are dead now tho :(

I just about remember Sapphire and Steele.

I remember one gave me nightmares :o
There was a man dressed in black but he had no face. Just smooth and round. I remember a scene of a woman sitting in front of a dressing gown table then she sees his reflection in all the mirrors. She turns around and his gone. The same when she looks over the Bannister and sees a man looking up at her without the face.

Actually considering how popular it was in the 70's I am surprised a remake has not been in talks yet.

Same here, i have Flowers in the Attic on dvd and thought some parts where bad, and neeRAB a remake, i can imagine them doing it.

It was a weird show indeed. I think one episode involved a time machine made out of bits of animals. Ewww.
Ideally I'd like to see Ed Norton as Steel and Cate Blanchett as Sapphire.

The modern one is slightly less "all wrong" than the John Wayne one. There was a documentary about the Alamo on BBC2 a few years and it destroyed a lot of the myths
