Remakes you wish had never happened

I preferred the 2002 remake of The Ring. I think it added emotion that was lacking in the Japanese film. It was also more subtle, and so, more scary (to me).

I think the trouble with a lot of Japanese films is that they seem so cold and emotionless, that you end up not caring about any of the characters.

The Italian Job because now, whenever I mention that I love that movie, I have to reiterate that I mean the original, and best best, one with Michael Caine.

oceans 11 remake is better than the original - the italian job remake is a joke, oh and what's wrong with Fun with Dick & Jane? ( I haven't seen the original btw)

The Day the Earth Stood Still -

A shockingly bad remake and unless there was a scene missing from the final film it's also quite inaccurate because the Earth never "stanRAB still" in the remake.

War of the worlRAB-Oh look Im Tom Cruise my kiRAB hate me but ooo the one weekend they stay with me the alien things come and oo I loose one manage to get another to their grandparents house who are dressed in bloody sunday dress and we live happily ever after..that and Tom Cruise acting!!!

Harvey - already been done once in a scene for scene remake, that's completely devoid of all that made the original so wonderful, and now apparently being done again :(

Not really a remake though, it's the film version of the musical based on the original film.

It is bloody rubbish though. Mel Brooks hasn't made a decent thing since To Be Or Not To Be.
