Remake of Psycho

[TOMATO VS POTATO]

Has anyone seen this? I don't doubt that it is probably poor given that remaking such a well known film is not a good idea and it has a low rating on IMDB. But I got the chance to check out it out tonight and am tempted by the bizarre casting. Vince Vaugn playing Norman Bates and Viggo Mortensen of LOTR fame playing Sam Loomis. Anyone here see it and can comment on the bizzareness of Vince Vaugn playing Norman Bates? Any comments would be much appreciated.

apparently it is a shot for shot remake but without any of hitchcock's genius,pretty bad if i remember rightly.

I haven't seen the original for a while. Is the scene where Vince Vaughn self-pleasures himself, in the original? It's not something Hitchcock would normally show

Vince Vaughan Looks REALLY creepy in it. Its quite scary just that.

Pointless..see the original and watch Anthony Perkins give one of the finest performances ever seen on film.

I'm with the majority, don't bother. The original is great, the remake was a waste of money and retains very little of the suspense or horror in my opinion.
