Religious raillery, Germany is world least funny nation?

Do you think this could be because the few Jews who survived World War 2, left for other countries afterward? Is this an object lesson for antisemites about how grim your world might become without Jewish comedians?
Edit: Henning Wehn, the exception that proves the rule.
 
he-he... ya, it would seems like there isn't a good reason to be laughing without holocaust survivor taking the zest of life with humor.
 
Hey, that's not fair, I once met a funny German.

Strike that, he was Swiss.

But plenty of Germans have a sense of humor. I mean I have been following formula 1 for at least 20 years, and in that time I have seen German driver Michael Schumacher smile on at least TWO separate occasions.
And everyone knows that in the past the German Olympic "women" were a joke.

And of course everyone knows that famous German comedian.....um.......mmm....yeah. You're right

I suppose to be fair there is not much for a German to be happy about when you are forced to survive on a diet of sauerkraut and sausages
