Religion or Culture. Which one do you think is the most important?

I'm Muslim but Western and long to go back to Britain, where my forefathers came from. Should I give up my religion for my Culture or what? I don't like Eastern people as they freak me out (Arabs, Indians, Pakis etc.). The majority of my forefathers took up Islam and some took up Christianity but I do not prefer religion in my life (which does not mean I do not prefer God in my life and morals). What would you do?

P.S. My parents and family insist I marry a Muslim oneday but if I find a sweet girl who is not, then I will have to go with her. I mean, I don't want to get caught up in this whole religion freak show which the entire world (Jews, Muslims, Christians etc.) are caught up in. I'm a man of science, morals and God. What do you think? How do you feel about religion and the fact that it's used today to make money and to blame for every personal thing people have against each other and think of doing?

Dehellenization first emerges in connection with the postulates of the Reformation in the sixteenth century. Looking at the tradition of scholastic theology, the Reformers thought they were confronted with a faith system totally conditioned by philosophy, that is to say an articulation of the faith based on an alien system of thought. As a result, faith no longer appeared as a living historical Word but as one element of an overarching philosophical system. The principle of sola scriptura, on the other hand, sought faith in its pure, primordial form, as originally found in the biblical Word. Metaphysics appeared as a premise derived from another source, from which faith had to be liberated in order to become once more fully itself. When Kant stated that he needed to set thinking aside in order to make room for faith, he carried this programme forward with a radicalism that the Reformers could never have foreseen. He thus anchored faith exclusively in practical reason, denying it access to reality as a whole.

In most parts of the world, there is no distinction. That's why most of the world is in the dump.
 
Well the only way to get out of an ethnic religion like Judaism, Muslim, etc, is to convert to a different one. Besides why would you want to be a Muslim? You don't really beleive that loon Muhammad do you? Christ is the way.
 
Well, actually they are interdependent. Your religion is part of your culture and vice versa. However, if I had to pick, I would say culture.
 
i think culture is more important. i gave up my religion because all it did was make me feel guilty about things and call me a sinner and tell me i was going to hell. Well now i;m happier. And i still believe in a god.
 
I think that religion has ALWAYS been used that way. Obviously for you religion isn't that important, for me it's not important.
 
Culture is more important than religion. You long to go to Britain, you should go. Live where you feel comfortable and happy. You only live once. Make the most of it.

I view religion as part of culture. I see them inextricably linked. Whatever your religion, don't give up your faith. Otherwise, I see no reason why a relocation precludes you from continuing in either religion or culture.

Do what you will do, as long as it aligns with what God will have for you.
