how could I come up with a thesis about the Nexus Between Religions (Belief Systems), Social Structure, and Governance in ancient china, greece, or egypt (two of the three)?? thanks for any help...
Well in all of the countries Religion brought the people together under one central faith. With all the people under one central belief they could then manipulate them without a form of government by way of fear of gods. Much like the myans and incas, ancient cathedrals have statues of gargoyles and demons outside to scare the people into believing the outside world is tainted with sin, and that the only safe haven is within the walls of the church. I essence Religion is a way of controling the poeple without an actual government
