I just had an agreement with my last landlord to terminate my lease since i found a new tenant to take over the apartment. I took the new tenant-to-be to the office and she signed the papers to become the new tenant. The office informed me that I was good to go and had done all I needed to.
Now I got a call back from them, around 2.5 weeks later that the new tenant decided not to move in and that I owe them for this months rent. They agreed to terminate my lease, but I don't know if i have any paperwork, what can I do?
