release date for symbian 4 ?

just wondering if anyone has a release date for symbian 4 ?

I wouldn't expect it until the end of 2011. Unless it can be delivered to the S^3 devices that are just hitting the market, which I doubt will happen, I don't think you should expect to see S^4 ship until at least a year has passed. That's a reasonable amount of time for S^3 to sell. It may or may not be ready before then, but the delayed launch of S^3 has pushed out S^4 so it doesn't matter. You cannot have a 6-month cycle between major software releases unless you offer upgrades. Customers would **** bricks.
 
Symbian 4 will be Android....I think Nokia will throw in the towel and get on board the fastest train to relevance behind Samsung and Sony..........is where they will stay of they don't trump the then Android OS,
