Registering my bill...

So I'm trying to register my bill on Bell.ca so I can make changes online... I pick the Television section under the separate billing section (it's the only Bell service I have), enter my account number on the first page, no problems... The next page (where it asks for the bill date), however, shows an entirely different account number (and doesn't allow enough characters to put the correct one back in), and tells me either the account number or bill date is incorrect when I try to submit.

Anyone else ever encounter this issue? I'm trying to avoid calling Bell again after they screwed up my account the last two times I called.

I (obviously) only had to do it once, a long time ago but didn't have any issues. Note that it sounds like you have "One Bill" or whatever they are calling it these days, so you actually have 2 different (or possibly more) account numbers.

Worst case, I'd say bite the bullet and call. The billing dept selection should get you through to someone in Canada.

That's what confuses me a little... My clearly matches the screenshots for separate billing, but the second page URL mentions One Bill.

Hopefully I get Canada when I call.

BellTV agents are not trained to assist you with a web site issue...

I had issue registering my mom's friends account on line today and realised that Bell Canada agents can not help you with it either

I clicked in the section on the left side and indicated I need help and wanted it help by chat. An agent answered me. She was really helpful, even if she coudn't solve the isue

Having read your post again, I am getting the picture.

Yes I had this problem recently. I talked to at least five representatives over a two day period. Finally got a CSR who helped me through the lengthly process of linking up my account.

Problem is that I had several closed accounts and one of the old account numbers kept coming up.

I had to re register using a different e-mail account and a new password to enter the site.

I had to log in and click forgot my password, leaving the password blank. I followed the process getting a new password and user name.

I then logged in and followed the link to account again.

With tears in my eyes it worked

Hope this helps

I shouldn't have to re-register because I've never had a Bell product in my name before in my life, but I'll give it a try after work tonight, though!

Waiting for reply from R C NITRO...did it work?? This also works to clear 24 hr lock out, which seams to stay on your account forever.

No, that didn't work... But I just got my second bill. Low and behold, *this* bill is a One Bill bill with a Customer ID Number instead of a single-service bill with an account number. Why they switched me to One Bill when the dish is the only service I have with them, I'll never know... But when I tried to register it, it worked like a charm.
