I may be buying a used car from a coworker, and have some questions about transferring the title, getting plates, and a city sticker.
On the Illinois DMV website, it only mentions a 65 title transfer fee, but my parents are always talking about 300$ to register and plate a new car. I'm wondering what it is that makes it 300 to 1.Transfer the title, 2.Get plates on the car, and 3. Get a city sticker.
It's a 1990 Lesabre if that matters, and I live in Chicago. Please help.
