Regarding backup of messages

hey guys, so i was going thru pc suite and so couldnt find an option to back up messages, anyways i cut the messages and pasted them in a folder in my pc to see what would happen and it worked, but now i cant paste the same messages back into my inbox, which sucks, i can only paste it into the drafts and cant move them from there, weird OS, so is there any particular folder in the mem card or phone memory where i can use a file explorer to copy and paste all these files? because now i dont have all the messages in my inbox.

Oh forgot to mention that i have an N73 ME, regarding OS etc

yeah the 2nd app sounds like it might serve the purpose , but for the time being im looking for a way to get the messages in the drafts folder back into the inbox
 
I have precisely the same issue with transferring from the 6230 to the N73. It (PC Suite) won't retrieve the messages from the saved items folder, just the inbox.

Which is pretty damn useless.

However, 6230 is not compatible with Lifeblog, N73 is, and Lifeblog is, I believe, very versatile with regards SMS. Try it.
 
I have tried everything there is, but haven't found a way to move messages back to the inbox or any other folder except for the drafts folder.

If you have changed the location of the messages to the memory card, you can find all your messages in the Private folder. I'm not sure which subdirectory they are under, but do a folder search for Mail, and you will find the folder. Unfortunately, they are NOT in a format that you can access from the PC, and I haven't transferred them to another phone successfully yet.

I know this might not help, just my two cents.
 
I recently replaced my 6230 with an N80 and transferring everything from the former to the latter was a piece of cake. All I did was backup the 6230 thru PC Suite and did a restore on to the N80. I had everything, contacts, my calender and messages.
