i am a member of the National Guard, currently serving on title 10 active duty in Iraq. I signed up for a one year enlistment in Jan. 2008. My ETS date was one year later, Jan 16, 2009. My unit went on title 10 orders Jan. 30 2009 So basically, I've been on stop loss status the entire time of the deployment. My question is this: are there any circumstances that will enable me to leave this deployment early? Aside from breaking the law, or a medical reason. I know that the Army is phasing out stop loss, and the Guard is supposed to start phasing it out this Sept., so I was just wondering if there's any way I could get sent home early due to the fact I'm on stop loss. Any info would be appreciated.

you should be almost done anyway, aren't you saving those last few paychecks for your new ETS which would be the one good thing to come out of it.

BTW what do your orders say dates wise that is the info you need to figure out if you can leave early earlier
