My partner and I paid a 30% deposit of $246 (2 weeks ago) to makeup service and photography 3 hrs service through a wedding organiser for the coming of our marriage that held in this coming september.
However, now we decided not to use their services and would like to get the full refund back (or at least half of it) back. The wedding organiser said they can only refund the deposit makeup service $46 but not the photography service. The wedding organiser said we don't normally give refund on deposits.
There is not contract that we entered and no recepit of deposit was provided. I looked though our email correspondence and found nothing about refund on deposit policies.
Question: Am I entitled for a refund? (Or at least half of it?)
