The Chinese astronomer Chang Heng (78-139 CE) recognized that moonlight was a reflection of sunlight. He applied his theory to explain lunar eclipses. Make diagrams showing how Heng might have represented the moon's illumination and the path of light when the Earth, moon, and sun were in various positions and on nights when there were lunar eclipses.
