Reference an author's chapter written in a book that is a compilation of multiple...

...authors? in APA format? APA help

This question was asked two years ago, but the only answer given was for MLA..... I need APA citation!

I need to reference a chapter written by an author in a book that has each chapter/topic written by a different author.

The book has overall editors who did not contribute a chapter but rather just put the book together
Thanks for trying to answer that Dru, but I was looking for reference page. Either way, how you replied is not accurate for my question... I asked this question because our teacher hinted to us that it was not a normal reference page citation. I ended up finding it on my own after searching the internet thoroughly.

I am posting this in case anyone else has my same question....

2 Authors, 2 Editors:
Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (1996). Title of chapter: Subtitle of chapter. In E. E. Editor, & F. F. Editor (Eds.), Title of book: Subtitle of book (edition, pp. first page-last page). City, ST: Publisher.

you just need to say that Bloggs (et al) said in 'A Very Interesting Book edited by other people) that "... "

you only need to cite the book you actually used, so the details of the edited book, with the editors cited instead of individual authors, but point out that they are editors.
