Redundency In Cartoons

Was there ever a time when a cartoon would repeat a sequence over and over to the point of ad nauseam? Such examples include Underdog and Looney tunes.
 
The Looney Tunes could get away with redundancy because they were theatrical cartoons - audiences generally only saw each short once, and it was virtually impossible for one viewer to see every single cartoon, so nobody would notice if a series used the same general story or situation over and over again (i.e. the Pepe le Pew series, the Road Runner/Coyote series, the Sylvester/Speedy Gonzales series, etc.) - some cartoons even recycled whole gags from previous shorts. It wasn't until the cartoons were broadcast on television that the reusing of material became evident.
 
Pokemon repeated some bits of animation like Ash releasing a Pokemon from its Poke Ball ad nauseum for the first five years until the show switched to computer-guided animation, but I didn't really care because it was such a small part of the show.
 
When I used to like Digimon, during Frontier's last few episodes, there was always that "wind into flame" thing. XD

...that's about all I can think of just now, looking for further examples of repetitive footage.
 
Please elaborate. If you don't then this just turns into a list thread. And we don't do those around here. :D

Isn't Scooby Doo a classic case of the same thing happening over and over and over again?
 
DIC uses the same incidental music in various series. Super Dave, Inspector Gadget, possibly Heathcliff, and other shows from the 80's/early 90's always seemed to repeat the same incidental music.
 
Several shows have a bad habit of recycling music. Ocean Group reused a lot of music in DBZ, Monster Rancher, Megaman, and probably more. Sonic SatAM also had several musical pieces from AoStH in it, particularly the pilot episode.

And now that I recall, Saban reused several pieces of Digimon music in Shinzo.
 
4Kids tends to reuse some of their inhouse music from their series, I could have sworn the theme they gave for Sanji was used for stealth like scenes in Sonic X, Rouge the Bat, or that undercover teacher.
 
Wait a minute... DiC and 4Kids are producing/liscensing companies, Not TV stations, 4Kids just owns the weekend block, I don't think that counts as it's own station ? Even though I know you're not fond of anime anymore, I think they count since they do use the same music in a good number of their shows. Even more of a valid point, music set the mood for all situations, you can have a serious scene set to unfitting music and you know what you get?
 
To be fair, plotwise, it's more formula than redundancy. Quite a few cartoons and anime are formulaic, at least on some level.

Though, due to budgitary reasons, they had to resuse the same music over and over for different songs, which is why it only lasted 12 episodes. Shame, because it's just so dang funny.
