Redsnow 0.9.6b6 crashed everytime whenever i try to unlock my iphone 3gs?

Its getting really frustrating, ive been sitting on the computer for hours trying to find out how to jailbreak my 3gs, once i think i have it redsnow crashes. Please help if you know of a solution. :)
