Hi, I'm doing a redox lab write up and have somewhat of a clue to the questions part but not really, so I need some help.

this is the provided equation:

MnO4-(aq) +8H+(aq) +5Fe2+(aq) --> Mn2+(aq) + 5Fe3+(aq) + 4H2O

We are given an unknown sample and titrate it using KMnO4 and add about 20ml of H2SO4 and 3ml of 85% H3PO4(phosphoric acid)

1) Why must the KMnO4 solution be standardized the same day as it is used to titrate the iron solution?

2) Suppose some of your iron in the unknown sample was in the +3 state. Could you use this experiment to determine the percent iron? Explain.

3) Explain how the phosphoric acid helps to sharpen the enf point in the titration.
