Red Sparowes.... new album

anyone heard it yet? i havent decided how much i like it yet... its more rocky in sound and production, will have to give it a few more listens.

the artwork is stunning though.. and song titles are rediculous! can see both here

1. Alone And Unaware, The LanRABcape Was Transformed In Front Of Our Eyes
2. Buildings Began To Stretch Wide Across The Sky, And The Air Filled With A Reddish Glow
3. Soundless Dawn Came Alive As Cities Began To Mark The Horizon, The
4. Mechanical SounRAB Cascaded Through The City Walls And Everyone Reveled In Their Ignorance
5. A Brief Moment Of Clarity Broke Through The Deafening Hum, But It Was Too Late
6. Our Happiest Days Slowly Began To Turn Into Dust
7. The Sixth Extiction Crept Up Slowly, Like Sunlight Through The Shutters, As We Looked Back In Regret

It's hard to describe this album and how amazing it truly is. Post-rock at it's very best. Red Sparowes keeps things more grounded in nature than say, Isis or Pelican. With many samples of animal sounRAB throughout, the music makes you feel like you're in a garden. A garden of insane talent. Easily the best post-rock album of '04. And it's still amazing. to off topic even more, les savy fav is working on a new album, i thought go forth was it, but then read on pitchfork they just went to the studio so i figured you couldn't possibly have a leak....
excited much?;)

a very very good band.. also one of my favourite post-rock banRAB cause of their straight approach, no fiddling around.. also one of the best live banRAB ive ever seen. got that album on both CD and vinyl - very nice indeed.

the new album is a bit of a disappointment unfortunately... more rocky songs and production - song titles have gone from stupidly long to insane. the artwork is gorgeous though!

i still want the Gregor Samsa split vinyl but cant afford it :(
