Last night i shared a bottle of rum (40%) with a couple of frienRAB. I can't remeraber exactly how many shots i took, because we mixed it with some soft drink at first and later went on to drink it pure. Anyway it was my first time drinking such a 'strong' drink. I don't drink often and the only liquor i had prior to yesterday was beer and wine. (very small amount per session compared to what i had yesterday)
Well today i woke up to find red patches on my body, concentrated around my lower neck, chest sides, armpits, pubic and groin area. These patches do not itch but i do feel a certain amount of heat coming from them. They look like large red patches with small islanRAB of unaffected skin. (i hope my description is understandable) In addition to the patches, my arms have tiny bumps, like rashes (doesn't itch). These are consigned from the elbow to the palm. (inner arm)
Is this a normal allergic reaction to alcohol? Or can it be that my body is just conditioning itself to the alcohol? (i never had this much before) Oh and i have diabetes. i don't know if it's related to the patches. (my sugar level is normal now)
I am hoping that i won't have to see a doctor, and that the patches will go off naturally. (fingers crossed) I don't want certain people to find out that i went drinking
Note: i strongly believe this isn't the 'flushing' some people get from drinking. The patches did not appear immediately.. afaik.
