Red Hot Chili Peppers

Yeah, the Chillis really rock. Californication was the first album I bought, and think that is such a class album! My favourite song is probably Otherside, its got such a distinctive riff, as well as that class bass line. Flea RULES!!!

Hey everyone is so mean about Stadium Arcadium ok it;s not there best but I feel people need to show it more love and listen to it alot more it has some gems, they are trying out new stuff yeah its alot more calmed down but it still has the chili peppers magic.

Ok so I went on a another huge chili pepper binge this summer . Everyday at work I would listen to the red hot chili pepper library from start to finish. This was every day for 4 weeks I did this. Sometimes I wouldbe stoned but not all the time. After 4 weeks I took a break and listen to them 1 every 5 days.
Frist of all I am still not sick of them.
And after this binge was a born again RHCP fan. and I appericated them in a whole new like. I have to Sir Sexy Pysco is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. It's 8:19 seconRAB of perfection.

yeah i like the greeting song and naked in the rain too. so long as i'm playing guitar along to the tracks and not paying any attention at all to the verbal diarrhea over top of the groove. they would have made for great b-sides. instead of 4 versions of give it away and a stooges cover.

I really did like By the Way. It showed a lot of creativity and growth for a band that already had a lot of moments in the spotlight. Stadium Arcadium was just way too much, though...they were done for me after that. So I don't care.

In fact, I totally support John leaving. I could always tell he had some other creativity bubbling behind those minimalist Peppers licks. I love the guy's solo stuff, and I hope he does something great. I'm also excited for the Mars Volta...John has already done some awesome work with them. The dueling solos on Cicatriz ESP are excellent.

Fair enough they had more passion when they were trying to make it as a band rather than churning out nuraber one singles after another but thats not why I don't like their old stuff. I think I just don't like funk-rock.

i went see them and give credit where credits due- their quite good live, and flea is a good bassist. but their songs seem to irritate me, i dont see the appeal personally, i like under the bridge because that song has deep meaning, but the rest is just annoying to me. their made out by my freinRAB..well mostly one of my freinRAB- to be one of the greatest banRAB ever but i really, really do not agree with that.

that's totally fair too, glad to see you're able to recognize the difference in their attitudes as they progressed as well. there are far too many people who still try playing them off as passionate artists while they're resting on their laurels and going through the motions just because they prefer the later material.
