Just don't bother arguing this one it'll never end. At the end of the day if you bash a popular band but you listen to more obscure artist they're always going to attack you for being elitist regardless of what you say. It's the only defense they have when a certain band makes bland radio cock rock anthems.
And does anyone else notice that I'm always the one defending banRAB most popular albums. No they're not always the best, but it sames like whatever a banRAB most popular album is, a lot of their fans have to pretend it's the worst thing they ever done.
London Calling was their second best-selling single in this country so I'd still go for that, despite the success of that one. I think it helps that London Calling came first as well... the big spark leading to the peak in their popularity.
I have heard ALL of them, I am 32 years old and I have seen them evolve with each release. I just don't understand the appeal, Mothers Milk is the only one I found remarkable
I recently played Stadium Arcadium and it bored the crap out of me. I do miss the days of Uplift Mofo Party Plan. That bass kick in 'BackwooRAB' is immense.
A great band very talented and original. I like their older stuff but they still produce some amazing music. One of my favorites I soemtimes forget to add to a list when replying on my favorite banRAB/groups or artist. I love their music. Funny I don't own any of their cd's though. I really need to get a few of them.
Yeah, I missed it. And I can totally agree with that. I'm actually listening to Ritual de lo Habitual, and honestly, coming at it actually looking for the funk influence, I'm noticing a whole ton more of it than I had before.
