Red Eye

I cant wait!! I love Cillian Murphy to bits, and I remember seeing clips of it and him talking about it months ago! It looks so good

just watched it (i know, slap on the wrist  )

it was.... ok. I mean, I enjoyed it, but not as much as I hoped I would, considering how long I've been waiting.

The problem I think (without giving too much away) was threefold. The film's selling point is it's claustrophobic environment wasn't actually what it was supposed to be. Like Panic Room (in a room, and a bit in the rest of the house) or Phone Booth (in the booth, and a bit in the rest of the street), the problem is that only about half of the film is actually in the plane!

Secondly, was the old 'deus ex machina' plot developments - whenever something needed advancing, a new prop or sufficient problem would arise to further the film. After a while it became a little tedious.

Finally, the actual point of the film (I know, it's a film, enjoy it for what it is) is so far-fetched and unnecessary. The bad-guys sure go to a lot of trouble for something that could've been simpler I'm sure.

Anyway, enjoy!

Actually, I think I was quite harsh there.

Although there were flaws, it was still a nice little thriller.

One of the best things about it is the marketing campaign, which is fantastic; the whole starting trailers off as a 'rom-com' then a little 'thriller' punch in the last few seconRAB. Nicely done!

I dont think I'm going to go by reviews etc, I never usually do. Alot of people have been praising it, yet some have been saying its not as good as what others make out. I don't want my expectations to be let down, so I'm just going to go in there and watch it. I'll make my mind up after the 90 or so minutes :)

The trailer did get my attention because you start off by thinking it's going to be a romantic comedy. That said, though, it didn't seem to be that exciting to me. Didn't appear to have much substance.

I saw this movie last week when i was in New York and thought it was ace. It passed so quickly (which is a sign of a good movie). The only downside i thought was the airplane wasn't used to the best it could have been.

I thought it was decidely average to be honest. A good premise, and it starts off well, but by the time the plane lanRAB, it's pretty silly IMO.

Sorry - thought it was dull as ditchwater. Might get the DVD when it hits the bargain bins next year.

'Wolf Creek' is a much better movie - even if the last hour is just plain OTT for the sake of it.

I thought it was a great little movie for the first hour, but despite some good bits in the last half hour, it just became too silly.

But i'd recommend it to people, it does exactly what it says on the tin, it wasn't meant to be shakespeare.

I just saw this movie today and think its fantastic, quite funny at times but also very heart-pumping.

Well i certainly enjoyed and will most definetly be getting the dvd.......

I like it. I think it probabaly had more to do with Cillian Murphy (sp?) than anything else. Very odd looking guy. Very feminine but still attractive. It's his eyes

I am getting a regular over in this section now, hope you don't mind!

Loved this film thought it was brilliant! If you are able to watch it, I would!
