Saw it last night and thought is was brilliant It has come light comedy in parts (Mostly from the air stewarRAB) and its a movie I'll consider buying once out on DVD for sure.
Ugh! Don't judge a film by it's age rating. 'The Others' is a 12A and will have you freaking you. It's also a brilliant film in it's own right.
'Red Eye' looks really good though. I'm a massive fan of Rachel McAdams after her showcase in 'Mean Girls'. I really like the way the Trailer made it look like a Rom Com set on a plane and then it suddenly switches into a thriller.
Just got back and thought it was great.I knew nothing about it,my mate just said we should go.
He plays a great villian and she was good too.
I felt the plot was paperthin and was written by a 12 year old but it was very exciting.
The plane scenes went quick and were fun.
It was disgusting when she stabbed him in the throat with the pen,i felt sick
The ending was very scary and i was at the edge of my seat.
Well I just got back and altho I enjoyed it, it kinda ended up being 'suspense by numbers' from the point where
she stabbed him in the throat
Dont get me wrong, it was an enjoyable film. Cillian was excellent as the bad guy. And gorgeous as ever, I felt kind of dirty, because I knew that he was an evil person, but he played him so fiendishly and was so sultry, it felt wrong, but it also felt very very right!!!
She (the character, not necessarily the actress as I have never seen her in anything before, that I can remember anyway) annoyed me immensely.
But after the above mentioned incident I was left with the questions of
why, in a major international airport, didn't she just pick up a phone! Or speak to security or the police.
And the last sequences were all predictable
running the BMW man over, running around the house, which incidentaly she referred to as 'Her House' but then she seemed like she didn't know her way around it at one point. The double bluff, when she thought he was in the shower, then we were led to believe he was behind the door when the phone went, then he was behind the other door. And then her father shot him to save her, suspense by numbers.
But, after saying all that, I still enjoyed the film. I didn't walk out thinking that it was an hour and three quarters wasted.
