i think three years ago robert llewellen posted pics of the cast in rehersals... then funding disapeared (again). they should just do another series and tie it all up. the cast are getting pretty old now. also itd be great if grant+naylor would reuite for it. it could be like the final episodes of seinfeld where larry david came back to write them

Unlikely to happen, as the one who is in charge of red dwarf is hell bent on getting the film made. He neeRAB a dose of back to reality methinks. Otherwise the Red Dwarf actors will be using zimmer frames by the time the film gets made, if ever.

a Red Dwarf movie has been in the pipeline for nearly 10 years now, and I think if it was going to be done, it would have by now, maybe IMDB thought the same. But saying that, never say never, theres a Transformers live action movie out next year 20 odd years after the series finished so you never know.

If you watch the documentary on the series 8 dvd doug naylor talks about the movie abit and says if something didnt pop up within sed amount of time hed scrap it and do a series 9, i think they should just leave it now, the way series 8 ended was great, no conclusion and heck who'd want to see them return to earth or save the ship and just have a normal ending, the way it ended was brilliant and shouldnt be messed with IMO
