I'm talking about the fact that they haven't secured anyone to finance or release the movie, and the filming date has been pushed back for the last 2 years, and the rehearsals and makeup testing for the script were three years ago...
Unless they can get someone to put at least $10,000,000 into it, they'll keep pushing it back.
I want to see this movie made, so I'm not being cynical for the sake of it...
and its great to see Norman Lovett is in the film !!

personally i dont think it will be THAT good, i was watching series 7 today which features no laughter on it and it felt....wierd
Series 7 was a bit naff, but it had a few good moments. Series 8 was an improvement on series 7, but was weaker when compared to series 3-6. I still enjoyed it though.
I await the film even though I think it will turn out like series 7, with that awful filmic look and the annoying Chloe Annette. Kryten was a big crybaby in series 7, and although he shut up for most of 8, he seemed different. Robert wasn't really giving it his all, and his voice changed a bit. Maybe he's getting tired of the role?
I await series 9 with bated breath though, I just hope they don't cock it up like series 7.

i doubt they will do much more after a film.
Has anyone here read the books? The two books where they worked together were great but then they split and wrote a book each.
Both of the books written followed on from the 2nd book, one was called "The Last Human" and the other "BackwarRAB". I can't remember who wrote what but i do know that the guy that wrote "The last Human" (which by the way was really REALLY terrible!!!!) is the same fella that wrote series 7 (and then found out that he really needed to write better stuff so we co-wrote series 8).
Now from what i've heard it seems that this will not be a complete restart, nor will it be a follow up to the series. I have a sneaking suspision that it will be based on "The Last Human" in which case..... Get the smeg out of here fast!!!!!
