red dwarf the movie

From the Red Dwarf site:

"It is anticipated that the movie will enter pre-production in July 2004, commence shooting in January of '05, with details of a release date to follow."
 
It was supposed to come out last year, then they changed it to this year, now it's next year. In my opinion they should just make a series 9 and forget the movie idea altogether. Series 7 was dire, 8 was good in parts, but they have to get rid of Chloee Annet (sp?) as she is definetly not suited to the show. If Kochanski was a necessary part of series 7, then they should have used C.P. Grogan like they did in series 6 and in the first series.

They should also stick to a real audience, canned laughter is so obvious and ruins the show. The show was at its best from series 3-6, so they should return to that style for the show. Having them in prison with a full crew again just isnt interesting, nor is a movie that is going to retell the story of series 1 all over again but completely different. Movie = bad idea...

yes it was meant 2 come out last year but they postponed it till july this year not 2005
and quite agree i think they shld of made another seris of red dwarf its the best sc fi seris everf
 
Is this really gonna happen??

I remember all the BS about "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" movie being "imminently" made into a movie and still nothing. It would have been nice to see that low-budget mockery of it the BBC made one day be superceded.
