Its a good enjoyable movie, excellent cast, holRAB your interest throughout, even tho its 2 hours long. Slows down a little towarRAB the end, but then picks up for a good ending.

The only thing is, if you've read the book, you'll already know all the twists and ending :(

Haven't seen this one yet but I really liked the old version, Manhunter. It was very dark and brooding. The bad guy (Tom Noonan?) was brilliant, and they used some good music in it too.

I agree, Manhunter was an excellent film, and hopefully Red Dragon will be an improvement on the last film (Hannibal).
Sorry but I preferred Jodie Foster in the role of Clarisse, the other girl was Soooooo false. I have read all the books, and sometimes the film makers get it just right and other times they are so of the wall.
We will have to wait and see..

Yes. It's been a while since I watched 'Manhunter' but is one of the reasons that he becomes this peerless f'ed psycho killer is because he is so funny-looking? Sure Ralph Feinnes misses the mark entirely!

Saw Red Dragon last night and thought it was good fun.

Better than Hannibal but not up there with Silence Of The Lambs.

Now I want to see ManHunter next time its on TV.

Saw Red Dragon - but think Manhunter was better. Seems like they're just cashing in on Hannibal without proper thought. Shame because Silence of the Lambs was very effective, but the sequels have been downhill ever since.

The problem with Red Dragon is that the 3 key roles (Will, Reba & Francis) are all hopelessly mis-cast. Seems they had the perfect players in Manhunter to me

I saw Red Dragon last week, and it kept me interested all the way through. I hadn't read the book or watched Manhunter so I didn't know the ending.

Was it just me or did anyone else find the man going down the hill who was on fire funny.

Yeah that was funny.

I was trying to work out where I had seen him before and then I realised he was the guy who fancied Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights.
