Recycling how does it influence you and our environment?

I want to know how recycling influences you and our environment. I would like to hear about your opinions about this. Give me some examples if you want. : )
 
I refuse to recycle precisely to save the environment.

If we all follow my lead, it will keep those fleets of pollution-spewing, energy-hogging beasts off the road one more day a week.
