Recurring Lip Lesions Don't Know What It Is

I've had this for quite a long time, however for awhile have been getting frequent recurring outbreaks about every 6 weeks or so either at the right corner of my lip or on the bottom of my outer lip (toward the right side), it starts out feeling like a pimple but breaks out into multiple tiny cluster sores, and then forms into a couple of big fever blisters.

It is not HSV-1 or 2. I've been recently tested.

Whatever this is, comes with severe fatigue. I'm thinking maybe it's Lupus but am not sure. Anyone have a similar experience? Can these sores be biopsied to see what it is?

It is extremely important that I find out what it is. I believe it to be the clue to why I have been so sick 13+ years.

Also, canker sores, they don't occur on the outside of the lip do they? They occur inside your mouth, right?

Neveragain:
I remember speaking with you on another board. I can't remember which one. I guess when we have all kinds of issues we go on multiple boards. I don't really have any answers for you. U would think it is herpes. Maybe the test for herpes is not accurate just like lots of other tests that are inaccurate or not really conclusive. The only other answer I have is either Candida, which I have spoken about before which is an overgrowth of yeast in the body which can really do lots of harm. You might want to research that or some kind of virus in your body. Have you gone to the doctor for this and what are the other issues you have. I don't remember. We correspond with so many people we can't keep up. Let me know what you find out. LaLa

I second what lala said. Herpes (cold sores) would be my first guess as well. I also second that it could be yeast because a friend of mine got that on her lip after being on an extended round of antibiotics for a surgery she had to get. I don't remember if they gave her antifungal pills or an ointment cream. I would go to a dermatologist to get it confirmed.

I was tested for both HSV-1 and 2, IgG & IgM and I don't believe the results were inaccurate. I have tried researching but there's like no information on this problem. Would like to here from anyone else that might share a similar problem. But no luck yet. It does not look like thrush. I recently used Cipro for a UTI and have had no break out on my lip because of. I went to my PCP along time ago, he said it did not look like herpes, I went to my GYN earlier this month and he tested it for me, and it wasn't HSV. I'm thinking maybe they could biopsy it and find out, but I don't know if they would.

Other physical issues I have: EBV, CFS, FMS, GERD, Chronic bladder & esphageal & nasal inflammation, myofacial pain, thoracic pain, migranes, UARS, irritable bowel, gastritis flare ups, tingling, muscle twitching, burning pain, mildly low potassium, occassionally get hives
